Kibon (Basic) Forms


Kibon Il

1. From Joonbi (ready stance), move left foot into horse-riding stance and perform a left arm low section block whilst looking to the left.
2. Execute right arm low section block looking to the right.
3. Perform a left arm outer mid-section block to the left looking to the left.
4. Perform a right arm outer mid-section block to the left looking to the right.
5. Looking forward, execute a left arm high section block.
6. Execute a right arm high section block (still looking forward).
7. Execute a left arm mid-section punch.
8. Finish with a right arm mid-section punch and shout. Stay in this position until told to return to ready stance.

Kibon Ee

1. From Joonbi (ready stance), move left foot into horse-riding stance and perform a left arm mid-section inner block whilst looking forward.
2. Execute right arm mid-section inner block still looking forward.
3. Shift into right leg forward stance (facing North East) and execute left arm knife-hand strike (neck height).
4. Change to left leg forward stance (facing North West) and execute right arm knife-hand strike (neck height).
5. Switch to right leg forward stance (facing North East) and perform a left low section knife-hand block.
6. Switch to left leg forward stance (facing North West) and perform a right low section knife-hand block.
7. Return to horse riding stance facing forwards and execute a left arm high section punch.
8. Finish with a right arm high section punch and shout. Stay in this position until told to return to ready stance.

Kibon Sam

1. From Joonbi (ready stance), move left foot into horse-riding stance and perform a left arm mid-section outer knife-hand block whilst looking left.
2. Execute right arm mid-section outer knife-hand block looking to the right.
3. Execute twin low-section knife-hand block to the left.
4. Take the block round in a circle anti-clockwise and perform a twin low-section knife hand block to the right.
5. Execute a twin mid-section knife-hand block to the left.
6. Execute a twin mid-section knife-hand block to the right.
7. Facing forward, perform a pressing block with right arm and execute a spear finger strike with the left over the top of the block (thumb facing up)
8. Finish with a pressing block with left arm and execute a spear finger strike with the right over the top of the block (thumb facing up) and shout. Stay in this position until told to return to ready stance.

Kibon Sah

1. From Joonbi (ready stance), move out left foot into forward stance facing North West with a double lower block.
2. Right leg rising kick and all the way back to the same stance - double lower block.
3. Right leg front kick, bring kicking foot down next to your standing (left) foot. Move left foot back into forward stance - double lower block.
4. Left leg rising kick and all the way back - double lower block.
5. Left leg front kick, bring kicking foot down next to your standing (right) foot. Move right foot forward (North East) into forward stance - double lower block.
6. Left leg rising kick and all the way back to the same stance - double lower block.
7. Left leg front kick, bring kicking foot down next to your standing (right) foot. Move right foot back into forward stance - double lower block.
8. Right leg rising kick and all the way back - double lower block.
9. Right leg front kick and shout, bring kicking foot down next to standing (left) foot. Return to ready stance.
